Touring through Wales

The Gilfach Nature Reserve is where the Marteg River meets the River Wye in the Cambrian Mountains of Mid Wales. After coffee we climb the nearby hill to see the 3000 year old rock cairn. The boundary stones along the road are covered with lichens. The latest new species of lichen was found here in 1998 on the slopes of Yr Wyloer.
